I have noticed over the de- cades that the personalities of fish and people are similar in many ways. Fish can be lazy, sitting in the sun chillaxing and never contribute but somehow always consume, or they can be aggressive, productive and attack anything that comes into their purview. They can be bul- lies or can be subjected to being bullied. They can be produc- tive, building their nests and protecting their young, or they can be opportunists and prey on the productivity of others, as if they feel entitled to take what others have produced as if it’s their birth right and something is owed to them. They can be rugged individuals and stand on their own, or they can run in aggressive packs, often under the cover of darkness causing mayhem, killing and devouring indiscriminately with reckless abandon and without fear of retribution. work, but benefiting from the effort of others, they sit in the cheap seats and lay in wait for any opportunity to take advan- tage while never having put in the effort. They can be cunning, sharp and somewhat intelligent while others appear to be slow,
dull witted and uninteresting, they run the full gambit. They, not like humans, are attracted to flash and shiny plastic ob- jects, attracted to the lure of false promise all while passing up the real thing. They will jump on a fake, artificial sub-
stitute like a Hobo on a ham sammich, but when presented with the all natural real deal, more often than not, they will opt for the flashy, shiny object of no real value, and act genu- inely surprised when the hook is set and they end up falling for a
line as they are reeled in, look- ing for someone or something to save them from their lifetime of poor decisions.
Where fish and humans separate is where fish are what they appear to be, what you see is what you get, they are not pretentious or ostentatious, they eat their own regularly, they are selfish and solely in- terested in their own self pres- ervation. They don’t pretend to care for others all the while enriching themselves off of the misfortune, or weakness of others. They don’t talk out of both sides of their mouths, they are what they appear to be, wouldn’t that be refreshing for a change? What you see is what you get, what is advertised is actually what is reality. No false promises, no misleading babble, it is what it is! Don't be a spine- less jellyfish swimming in a sea of indecision. Don't be that guy. Which fish are you?
