at Mascoma Community Health Center
HealthFirst Family Care Cen- ter, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) currently lo- cated in Laconia and Franklin, NH was notified on September 29, 2023, that the Health Re- sources & Service Administration (HRSA) approved its application to operate a third service site at the Mascoma Community Health Center (MCHC) in Ca- naan, NH. This notification is the culminationofanearlytwo-year collaboration between Health- First and MCHC leadership who worked diligently to develop a mutually beneficial and sustain- able plan where HealthFirst will lease the health center building, hire MCHC’s existing staff, and provide healthcare services to the greater Canaan region, effective November 1, 2023.
As community health centers, HealthFirst and MCHC share a common commitment to provid-
ing exceptional healthcare ser- vices for the whole person. This exciting and strategic collabora- tion will ensure ongoing access to high-quality primary care, behavioral health, medi- cation-assisted treatment (MAT) and dental services
