HealthFirst Family Care Cen- ter, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) currently lo- cated in Laconia and Franklin, NH was notified on September 29, 2023, that the Health Re- sources & Service Administration (HRSA) approved its application to operate a third service site at the Mascoma Community Health Center (MCHC) in Ca- naan, NH. This notification is the culminationofanearlytwo-year collaboration between Health- First and MCHC leadership who worked diligently to develop a mutually beneficial and sustain- able plan where HealthFirst will lease the health center building, hire MCHC’s existing staff, and provide healthcare services to the greater Canaan region, effective November 1, 2023.
