Obituary
Earl E. Williams
Earl E. Williams, 83, was born on July 18, 1941 in Franklin NH, and passed away on Friday, Octo- ber 11, 2024 at Lafayette Center, Franconia NH. He was the only child of Edward E. Williams and Marguerite (Keyser) Williams. He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Stacey Lynn Williams, who passed away in 1966. His wife of 22 years, Nancy M. (Uhl- man) (DeGrace) Williams, passed away in 2012.
He worked many years in the manufacturing sector which in- cluded IPC (now Freudenberg) in Bristol, NH and Hitchiner Man- ufacturing in Plymouth. He later worked for Loon Mountain Re- sort and Pollard Brook as a night
auditor, preferring the 11 pm to 7 am working hours. It was one of the reasons he was known as a “night owl”.
Earl enjoyed many trips with his wife Nancy to Canada, the West Coast, Texas, Louisiana, Virginia, Arizona and Maine, en- joying the beautiful scenery and
visiting family. He loved hiking with his wife Nancy and his step- children (in his earlier years). He also enjoyed some deer hunting (also in his earlier years), having a garden, driving anywhere and everywhere to enjoy wildlife (ea- gles), and going out to eat with his wife and stepchildren. He
loved the mountains and the ocean, staying on many occa- sions at Lafayette Oceanfront Resort in Wells, Maine, with his wife and stepdaughter Cheryl and her husband Jim; enjoying many breakfasts at the Egg and I in Wells and All Day Breakfast in Kennebunk. Many visits to the beach included having din- ner at The Steakhouse in Wells, Maine. He enjoyed his wife’s gift to hang glide over the White Mountains. Recently, he would go up to the airport, watching those who were hang gliding
and making new friends.
He served in the Air Force,
completing his basic training in Biloxi, Mississippi and was sta- tioned in Prince Edward Island, Canada.
He is survived by his step children: Cheryl Walsh (James)
of Northfield, NH; William and Timothy Peavey of Laconia, NH; Normond DeGrace of Lin- coln, NH; Diane DeGrace (Joe) of Litchfield NH; Cecile Herzog (Mike) of West Lebanon, NH; Mark DeGrace, Laconia, NH; Robert DeGrace (Nancy) of Lunenburg, MA; Richard De- Grace (Kim) of Middleboro, MA; and Brian DeGrace of Lincoln, NH. His step grandchildren: Jo- hann Herzog (Leslie), Amelia DeGrace (Jason), Sean DeGrace, Emma and Jake DeGrace, and a step greatgrandchild, Gwen.
At his request, no services will be held. Arrangements are being provided by Paquette-Neun Fu- neral Home, Northfield, NH. Burial will be private and at a later date.
We will all miss him, and hearing of his stories of the places he traveled and the people he met along the way. He was a wanderer and instilled in many of us the joy to travel.
