 VOICES BALL
continued from page 1
5:30 p.m. at the Merrill Place Conference Center at Plymouth State University.
This year’s theme is the ev- er-fun “Saddle Up,” with West- ern attire, but, as in previous years, attendees are welcome to come as they are.
In previous years, the Voices’ event has drawn around 220 at- tendees, with each celebration being better than the last. Tina Mulleavey, the Executive Direc- tor of Voices Against Violence, said they’re looking forward to seeing everyone dress up. “It’s so much fun to see everyone get dressed up and put thought into the costumes. We’ve seen some amazing costumes for all the fun
themes we’ve done,” Mulleavey said. Of course, it’s not all about the fantastic outfits people create, but what it’s all for. “It’s just a fun way to connect with the commu- nity in a fun setting,” Tina con- tinued.
The event is made possi- ble through strong community support, with numerous local businesses stepping forward as sponsors and donors. StrEatz will serve as an Appetizer Sponsor, alongside Noyes Insurance, while Sharon Thorne: Allstate Insur- ance has been named Theme Sponsor. The evening’s auction activities are backed by Conklin & Reynolds, P.A., Attorneys at Law, as Auction Sponsor. Silent auction contributions will come from many different area favor- ites, including Six Burner Bistro,
Smokin Bear BBQ, Northern Nectar Apiary, Handyman Hardware, The Main Street Sta- tion Diner, North Station Diner, and more. Additional sponsor- ship support includes The Dirt Doctors as the event’s “Outlaw” Sponsor and Chic Hair Boutique and Spa as a VIP Table Sponsor.
The evening will feature music from DJ Chris White, along with both the silent and live auc- tions. Silent auction items will be available for on-site viewing, while bidding will be conducted online. The live auction, which has always been a success at the annual event, is expected to draw enthusiastic participation from attendees once again.
All of the proceeds from the celebration go to Voices Against Violence, supporting free and
confidential services for those impacted by domestic and sexual violence in the community.
Every year, a lot of effort goes into making this event an incred- ible success, and the Voices team goes above and beyond every year. “We’re a small but mighty team,” Mulleavey said. With the help of their incredible sponsors, the annual ball is always a treat for the community.
