11th Annual Firecracker 5K Enjoys Record Turnout

Raymah Simpson, Bristol Town Clerk/Tax Collector, was named the Grand Marshal of this year’s Fourth of July parade. While Raymah got to ride in a luxurious convertible, joining her and the more than two-dozen other entries this year was another celebrity, George Washington, who managed to pedal his way through town on a three-wheel bicycle. BRISTOL, NH — Over 170 runners and walkers participated in the 11th Annual Newfound Firecracker 5K held on July 4 in Bristol. This was the largest turnout to date for the fundrais- ing event, hosted by the New- found Regional High School’s Cross Country program.
