New Hampshire Music Festival Brings The Sound
The New Hampshire Music Festival will present its 73rd sea- son of classical music concerts from July 8 - 31. This season’s theme is The Sound of Summer
which promises high qual- ity classical music by America’s finest musicians, who travel to Plymouth in July to continue this beloved tradition.
In an exciting reprise, the Festival will partner with the Pemigewasset Choral Society to create the NHMF/Pemi Festival Chorus for the opening Classics concert on July 10!
The Board of Directors pro- moted Erin Brooker-Miller to Executive Director as Tido Jans- sen and Joe Higgins stepped down as volunteer Co-Execu- tive Directors. Brooker-Miller is a professional Classical and Irish harpist and accomplished arts administrator. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Harp Per- formance from the University of Illinois, a Master of Music in Harp Performance from Indiana University with a concentration in Arts Administration, and an
Of Summer To Newfound Region
MBA from Marquette Univer- sity.
To sustain the Festival’s for- ward momentum, the Board of Directors has focused on orga- nizing and streamlining the oper- ations. Because ticket sales cover 20% of operating expenses, the Board engages in year-round fundraising.
All year, the Board works with musician teams and Brook- er-Miller to produce the July concerts. Teams and committees recruit the musicians and con- ductors; locate housing; fund- raise; plan, write and print the program booklet; garner public- ity; monitor finances, etc. If you have skills to contribute and want to volunteer, email info@nhmf. org.
