Aaron Belyea is an amazing young man that we are fortunate to have as an alumnus of NRHS.
Aaron now participates in the schools 18-21 pro- gram and enjoys spending his time listening to country music, playing basketball, telling jokes to make people laugh and going for road trips.
Aaron also enjoys spend-
ing time with his childhood best friend an alumnus
of NRHS and a current United States Marine, whether it be in person or
on a video call. There have been plenty of obstacles
in Aaron’s life that have made physical activity very limited. It wasn’t long ago when Aaron was shooting hoops from the seat of his walker. Since being medi- cally cleared for physical activity Aaron has lost 100 lbs and joined the schools unified basketball
his peers and others want to be around him. I feel honored to be Aaron’s coach and I am sure others who work with him would agree with how much of a joy he is. In basketball, he cheers on his teammates along with the other team as well. He listens, gives it his all and most of all has fun. Aaron is everything you could ask for in a player and a teammate. I know games are not open to
the public this year, but if you are lucky enough to attend one of the Unified Basketball games please do so, you will not regret it and you will know exactly what we are talking about when we say watching Aaron play is a memorable moment you will never forget.
He brings a smile to everyone who he encounters and warms many hearts. We are so happy to have him in our Newfound
Community and part of the NRHS Unified Basketball team. Student athletes like Aaron make the coaching world and the world in general a better place. Despite many life changes that were sudden and devastat- ing to his family Aaron has al- ways pulled through with the help of his loved ones who have helped Aaron become the in- credible young man he is today.
