Every Wednesday from 6 to 8pm at the Tapply-Thompson Community Center (TTCC) we will be offering Line Dancing for $10 per person, per class. Instructor Charlene Dellascio offers this class to all ages and abilities and says, ‘If you can count to 4 and know your right from your left, you’re ready for line dancing’. One recent par- ticipant logged 8,000 steps at a class, -come on down and click, turn and stomp your way to bet- ter health and happiness.
We hope to see you at one of programs, events or classes and to show off our new gym floor, as we are at the final stages of our building renovation. We hope to be finished in the next few months with a Ribbon Cutting celebration and will be cordially inviting all of our Community Partners, Program Participants and Friends. If you have any questions or would like more in- formation please give us a ring at (603) 744-2713 or send us an email at info@ttccrec.org.

Mid-State wants to remind you to prioritize your heart health this month and educate yourself about the warning signs and symptoms of heart disease, as well as the pre- ventive measures you can take.

symptoms. High blood pressure, often referred to as the silent killer, may not exhibit symptoms but sig- nificantly elevates the risk of heart disease and stroke. Monitoring blood pressure at home can be a proactive measure for maintaining heart health, along with adopting a heart-healthy diet and engaging in regular physical activity.
Promoting heart health begins with embracing a heart-healthy lifestyle. Adopting a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and fish while limiting the intake of sweets and unhealthy fats can greatly contribute to heart health. Additionally, regular exercise and maintaining a healthy weight play pivotal roles in preventing heart disease. Furthermore, reducing alcohol consumption and quitting smoking are essential steps to- ward maintaining cardiovascular health.
Every individual should take action to protect themselves against heart disease. Even simple, heart-healthy habits like incorpo- rating more movement into daily routines and making nutritious food choices can yield significant benefits for heart health, as well as staying up to date with your regu- lar appointments!
