Despite the colder tempera- tures, the Newfound community is keeping the fun going. The annual Winterfest at Newfound Lake Inn is set for February 22nd, starting at 11 AM on the beach and continuing until 9 PM, with Sal’s Birch Bar wel- coming guests for an evening gathering.
In past years, attendees have enjoyed Jeff Day’s impressive ice sculptures, a full-service carved ice bar, a heated tent with food and drinks, raffles, ice skating, and activities for kids, includ- ing games, scavenger hunts, and snowman building. Snowmo- biles lined the beach, and every- one gathered around the fire to stay warm.
Winterfest offers something for everyone—whether you’re on the ice or warming up by the fire, it’s a great way to enjoy the winter season in New Hamp-
shire.
Get ready for another year
of Winterfest fun! Many of last year’s favorite activities are mak- ing a return, along with some exciting new additions. You can expect a variety of games, en- tertainment, and chances to win prizes throughout the day. There will be plenty of food and drinks to enjoy, along with unique ex- periences that showcase local talent and music.
This year will also feature the second annual polar plunge, a thrilling event where partici- pants brave the icy waters for a good cause. Proceeds will benefit the Newfound Lake Region As- sociation. Whether you're ready to take the plunge or prefer to cheer from the sidelines, it's a highlight you won’t want to miss. As the festivities wind down at the beach, the celebration con- tinues into the evening with live music performances and special
guest appearances at Sal’s Birch Bar. It’s shaping up to be a day packed with winter fun, great music, and community spirit!
There truly is something for everyone at Winterfest, and New Hampshire residents aren’t about to let a little cold weather stop them from enjoying a full day of fun by the lake.
