A Budding New Take on a Bristol Staple

In November 2023, Bailey announced the rebranding of the shop as The Bristol Botanist, unveiling an updated look. Today, The Bristol Botanist is a welcom- ing, community-minded space providing inspired floral designs and unique and curated gifts. “We have worked hard to expand the offerings inside the shop. Procur- ing lots of unique items, many of them from local and small busi- nesses. We want you to be able to come in and put together the perfect gift for a host, teacher, mother, or mother-in-law. We try to have something special for ev- eryone.”

“We want our community to know that we are here for them. Our goal is to meet their needs and be here during their best days and tough times. We live in this community and love being a part of something bigger than ourselves.” By offering person- alized service and a welcoming atmosphere, The Bristol Botanist aims to create a place where peo- ple feel valued and connected. Whether it’s for a special occasion or a simple gesture of apprecia- tion, they’re dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of those around them.

The Bristol Botanist, located at 30 Lake Street in Bristol, NH, brings a fresh perspective to a be- loved local establishment. When Bailey Caristi and her husband Joey bought Renaissance Florals in April 2023, they were excited to carry on the service that Missy Traber had developed over 24 years.
When talks about the potential retirement of Renaissance Florals began, many community mem- bers worried that this valuable local service would be lost. As long-time residents of the town, Bailey and Joey recognized that this new venture was exactly what they had been seeking.
After having their first child, Bailey wanted a career change. With her experience in health- care administration, she sought a job that offered more flexibility, allowed her to be creative, and provided a good environment for
anniversary, Bailey has remained enthusiastic and passionate about the future. “We have received such great support from so many members of this community. Peo- ple really welcomed us with open arms,” she says. The Bristol Bota- nist has been actively working on expanding its offerings to better serve its customers. This includes launching subscription services and creating engaging monthly activity kits—August’s offering was a build-your-own terrarium kit that proved popular. The shop
is also exploring the addition of workshops and classes, aiming to provide more interactive experi- ences and foster a deeper connec- tion with the community. Bailey’s vision for The Bristol Botanist is to evolve continuously, bringing new and exciting opportunities
