PLYMOUTH – Speare Re- habilitation Services is pleased to introduce Strong and Steady: A Health Fair for Living Well, a free community event designed to help older adults, caregivers, and veterans live well, stay safe, and remain active. The fair will take place on Wednesday, Sep- tember 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Speare Medi- cal Office Building, 103 Boulder Point Drive, Plymouth, NH.
The health fair will show- case a wide range of resources, demonstrations, and screen- ings aimed at promoting inde-
pendence, safety, and overall wellness. Attendees will benefit from free balance screenings to help prevent falls, learn proper mobility, and how to use aids such as canes and walkers, and receive practical active lifestyle tips from Speare’s expert Phys- ical Therapy & RehabFit team.
In addition, participants will have access to essential health screenings and education, in- cluding blood pressure checks and stroke awareness resources to support prevention and early detection. Occupational Therapy specialists will demon-
strate adaptive equipment and strategies to make home envi- ronments safer and easier to navigate, while the dedicated “Ask a PT/OT” station will provide opportunities for one- on-one consultations on mobil- ity, pain management, and safe daily living strategies.
The fair will also feature di- etary and nutrition information to promote healthy eating hab- its for long-term energy and strength, as well as financial counseling to help individuals and families plan for the fu- ture, manage healthcare costs,
and access support services. Veterans and their families are encouraged to take advantage of on-site veterans’ resources, including information on ben- efits and community programs tailored to their needs.
Beyond screenings and ed- ucation, the event will include local wellness exhibitors, free giveaways, refreshments, and community networking oppor- tunities. The ACHS Portable Teaching Kitchen will also be on-site, offering live demonstra- tions of nutritious and afford- able meal options.
Strong and Steady: A Health Fair for Living Well is open to all community members and admission is free. Guests are welcome to drop in at any time during the event hours. For more information, please call 603-238-2225.
