BRISTOL – Donna Duquette, owner of Homestead Creations in Bristol, has an over- stock of Paparazzi Jewelry right now, so she’s decided to help prom-goers sparkle this spring by giving away some of her exten- sive inventory of necklaces and other accessories for both girls and boys planning their special night out.
Duquette has been a Pa- parazzi representative for sev- eral years, displaying much of it in her Pleasant St. shop, just off Central Square. Recently a re- tiring member of the Paparazzi sales team gave her inventory of jewelry as well, leaving Duquette with more than she has room for in her shop.
“I have thousands of pieces of beautiful jewelry now, and I’ve just been trying to find a way to make more room in my shop,” she said. “I have a lot of other (local craft) items to put out, but no room for them right now.”
She has now come up with a

here,” said Duquette. “Frankly, if I don’t have it, you don’t need it!” From dainty necklaces and bracelets to bold, chunkier styles, the jewelry is both fashionable and fun. In addition to the hun- dreds of necklaces in stock, there are also lots and lots of pretty bracelets, rings, and earrings to complete a young lady’s prom
It’s not just about the girls,
though. Homestead Creations also carries more manly neck- laces and leather bracelets for the guy who wants to make a state- ment with his own attire. Best of all, the jewelry is free when they mention they’re going to their prom this spring.
“This really is about helping the high school kids out, but it’s helping me reduce my inventory
at the same time,” Duquette said. “It doesn’t matter what school or what town you’re from. Just come by and tell me you’re going to the prom, then pick out whatever you’d like to go with your outfit. There’s a lot to choose from!”
People need not be a prom- goer to take advantage of the low-cost jewelry available for sale at the store, though. Each item is only $5 for adult styles and $1 for little ones.
Homestead Creations, located at 19 Pleasant St. in downtown Bristol, is open Wed. through Sat. from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Duquette said any prom-goer needing to pick out their jewelry at a different time, however, can contact her at 998-0752 to make alternate arrangements for selec- tion and pick up.
way to clear some of her shelves and wall space though.
Duquette’s teenage grand- daughter recently wondered what type of jewelry she would wear with her prom dress this spring, making Dudquette won- der how many other teens may now or soon be contemplating the same thing. Some local orga- nizations provide free or low-cost prom dresses every year, and she
decided her shop could provide the accessories to complete their outfits.
Paparazzi is inexpensive cos- tume jewelry with a fashionable flair to suit any taste or occasion. Each piece is made of nickel and lead-free materials, which are suitable for most allergy is- sues, and their design selection is huge.“I’ve got every shade, color, and style you can imagine
