INTRODUCTION
161 battle-tested United States Marines of Delta Company
Reinforced, a light armored company of LAV variants, led by the greatest
command element ever gathered, now was tasked to be the eyes and ears of
the invincible task force known as Task Force Ripper. It was Go Time for the
Invasion. Delta had spent months and months preparing for this ultimate
showdown with the Iraqi Army. Just 22 days earlier, Delta had been involved
in a massive firefight against a marauding Iraqi tank regiment attempting to
penetrate through the gates of OP4 and attack Saudi Arabia. Delta
weathered that onslaught and was seeking retribution for the loss of their 11
Marine brothers.
S-2 Intelligence would meet with Delta Marines prior to the kick-off
of the Invasion, bringing with them gut-wrenching predictions of mass
casualties. Delta Marines shook off the dark premonition and continued
undaunted.
Now 100 Hours to Destiny puts you in the driver’s hatch with the
invading Marines. The true-life sights and sounds of actual combat and
conversations can be seen and heard. Utilize the QR Codes and step into the
boots of LCpl Witcher as he describes in detail action-packed events as they
occur on the battlefield of Kuwait.
Featured also in this book is the in-depth battlefield briefing from
Capt Pollard to Delta Company describing the precision advance through
multiple phase lines. This briefing embeds you in with the Marines, listening
intently to what they would face in combat during the Invasion.
Captured Iraqi POWs are heard speaking to the Kuwaiti Interpreter,
Lt Abdul, as he questions their disposition on the battlefield. All Iraqi
prisoners were treated with respect as required by the Marine Corps Law of
War.
100 Hours to Destiny is the ultimate experience. This cutting-edge
book is unlike any other to date…as it contains the only audio captured
during this daring mission undertaken by these heroic Marines. Delta
Company, under the leadership of Capt Roger “Rock” Pollard as well as the
XO, Lt Scott Williams, would push themselves far out into no-mans-land on
many occasions; being the furthest forward unit of the 1st Marine Division,
earning the title “Tip of the Spear”. The hunter-seeker pack would exploit
and expose enemy troop fortifications, and equipment as they progressed
across war-torn Kuwait.
Now the challenge is up to you to jump on board with Delta and help
liberate Kuwait from the evil clutches of Saddam Hussain... LET’S GO!!!
