PURPOSE
To share stories about the key issues in the culture change movement.
DESCRIPTION Participants sit in circles and share stories on specific topics.
PARTICIPANTS 10 or more
TIME
Half the number of participants times 2-3 minutes
SUPPLIES
Story Topics on page 59 and Learning Circle Handout on page 60
Steps:
• Have the group move their chairs to form two circles, one inside the other.(You can also do two lines facing each other). Join the group if need be to make and even number. The outer circle faces in and the inner circle faces out. Only the outer circle will be expected to move to their right after each topic.
• First have the inner circle talk, the outer circle actively listen. (They may ask questions to draw the speaker out, but may not contribute their own ideas to the topic.)
• After 2-3 minutes, have the outer circle move to their right and introduce the next topic. This time, the outer circle shares and the inner circle listens. This rotation continues as you move through the topics.
