PREPARING YOUR HOME FOR SALE
You Only Get One Chance to Make a FIRST IMPRESSION
Just like meeting a new person, when someone first meets your home, they get a first impression. With a little effort, you can make your home charming to anyone who walks through the front door.
CLEAN, DE-CLUTTER AND DE-PERSONALIZE
o Thoroughly clean the entire home including carpet and windows
o Remove all unnecessary items from closets, counter tops, shelves, etc.
o Organize closets, kitchen pantry and drawers
o Remove family photos, personal collections and
medication
o Clean and declutter garage and storage spaces
MAXIMIZE CURB APPEAL
o Paint the home’s exterior, including trim, doors and shutters
o Check front door, doorbell, address number, mailbox and welcome mat
o Power wash siding and windows
o Repair cracks in the driveway and sidewalks o Sweep entryway and clear cobwebs
o Mow, water and fertilize the lawn
o Trim shrubs and rake leaves
o Keep yard clear of pet droppings
o Clean gutters and downspouts
o Plant seasonal flowers
