COVID-19 Support: Special Edition
IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO MEMBERS
First and foremost we hope you, your family, your friends, your school and wider community are well and safe in this unprecedented times of uncertainty. As a Professional Teacher Association, we also see this as a time of great opportunity for teachers to explore new ways in which to engage with students.
The MLTAV Committee applauds our members’ strength and courage in working with schools and wider communities to ensure continuity of student Languages education amidst the current global COVID-19 pandemic.
It is imperative that we prioritise the physical and mental health and well- being of ourselves, each other, our families, friends, students, school and wider community.
The MLTAV acknowledges that it has become critical to respond thoughtfully as to how we move forward with plans and strategies.
As a professional association, with a purpose of supporting teachers and learning of Languages throughout Victoria, we are strategising ways to continue to support our members throughout this unprecedented period.
Online teacher resources are fundamental to this process and we encourage our Members to:
• Follow MLTAV on Facebook and Twitter;
• View the MLTAV Twitter feed via the MLTAV website, homepage;
• View a sample of the resources that have been shared via the MLTAV social media platforms;
• Participate in the MLTAV hosted Joe Dale webinar (FREE for MLTAV Members) scheduled for Thursday 9 April, 4pm. Click here to register and receive the link;
•Complete the MLTAV Member Survey (seeking your views on how MLTAV can support its members);
• Access the Languages Resources available online via the Department’s FUSE Website.
