 WHAT WE’RE DOING TO IMPROVE OUTCOMES IN RURAL AND REGIONAL AREAS
Targeted initiatives included as part of workforce reforms to address supply issues
• $45.2M to attract teachers and school leaders to state schools in rural and regional Victoria, including $12.5M for relocation to hard-to-fill positions
• $2.1M to attract high- achieving graduates in rural and regional areas
• $8.9M STEM catalyst initiative
to boost teacher training in maths and science
$22.65 million VCE Expansion project, including:
• VCE Collaboration Fund – $40,000 grants to establish school partnerships to improve subject choice including languages
• VCE language brokerage service
• 3 new virtual VCE language subjects: Hindi, Punjabi and Vietnamese.
