Dear 7th grade students and families,
What an amazing year we’ve had in 7th grade English! We
have loved seeing our students grow as readers, writers, speakers,
thinkers, learners, discussers, creators, collaborators, and
empathizers (they’ve had so many roles this year!). We enjoyed
each day with our wonderful classes, and we are so excited to
share a collection of poems written by the members of the class of
2024.
Each student created a personal poetry portfolio, which
consisted of five original poems. While the students selected one
poem to showcase in this final collection, we hope that they give
you the opportunity to read all of their creative work. You will
undoubtedly be impressed with the ideas and emotions that they
were able to convey through these pieces.
As our 7th grade learners become 8th grade leaders, we hope
that they look back at the work they have completed with feelings
of pride and accomplishment. Thank you for a fantastic year!
