Introducing Dr Rebecca Deans Country Representative
Sydney-based fertility specialist Dr Rebecca Deans is the new ASPIRE country representative for Australia succeeding Professor Louise Hull.
Rebecca completed her medical training at Sydney University. She went on to pursue speciality training in obstetrics and gynaecology and subsequently developed an interest in the sub-specialty area of reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
She holds a Master of Human Reproduction and Human Genetics from Sydney University and a PhD from the University of New South Wales in the area of Asherman syndrome. Rebecca provides personalised fertility treatment for patients of the Genea group in Sydney.
As well as specialising in fertility treatment, Rebecca is a general and adolescent gynaecologist at the Royal Hospital for Women and Sydney Children’s Hospital.
She is also a Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales where she is involved in ongoing fertility research and training of O&G registrars and medical students.
A widely respected clinician, researcher and educator, Rebecca’s peer reviewed articles have appeared in leading national and international journals of obstetrics and gynaecology.
“I am very pleased to become ASPIRE’s country representative and I look forward to contributing articles and insights into developments in assisted reproduction in Australia,” she said.
