Fellows: We use this term when referring to the group of students in casual speech. It is always capitalized in writing.
Scholars: We use this term when referring to the group of students who are currently in High School and awaiting full acceptance to the program.
Masters: We use this term when referring to the students who are pursuing their Masters or Doctorate degrees.
Alumni: We use this term when referring to students who have completed the program and are in the workforce full-time.
REFINE, REWRITE AND
Events: Proper organizational events should be capitalized (i.e. The students attended a recent Professional Development session and Lunch & Learn).
Program/Initiative: We use these terms interchangeably to describe the nature of our brand.
Titles of people: Capitalize all titles for people (i.e., Director John Daniels).
Groups of people: When writing or speaking directly of specific groups that MKE Fellows serves we capitalize them (i.e. Fellows and Mentors attended a basketball game). However, if referring indirectly, do not capitalize (i.e. The students and a few mentors ate lunch downtown).
