FEATURE PET: Cowboy
housemates Irv and Susan McAllister
Hi, my name is Cowboy. My hobbies are walking, playing with balls (although
never at the dog park - rather socialize and swag), greeting people, and eating left
over chicken.
I was so small (3 pounds) when my housemate first brought me home from the
Shelter that he found me in a cat cage, yet I feel more like a short German
Shepard. I’m not a “prissy” Chihuahua at all.
I’ve lived at the Club 6 1/2 years on Kennerleigh Pkwy. You have probably seen
me walking with my housemates in the morning. It is my job to defend them so
if I sense aggression, I will bark at you. It is also my duty to act as “security”
around the house and save my family from solicitors and the vacuum.
Once you are approved by my housemates, you will forever be my friend and I
will show my love with lots of kisses.
I sometimes play dumb, but I’m much smarter than they think. For example, every night when we all go to bed, my housemates
in their big bed and me in my little bed, I wait patiently until I hear their breathing indicating a sound sleep. Then, I quietly join
them in their bed. No one ever knows I’m doing this!
I love living at The Club. Next time you see me out and about, wave a paw.
