                The fetus is connected to its mother's placenta and is nourished by sub-
                stances reaching it from its mother's blood. However, it is most important that
                the defense cells in the mother's blood should not also reach the embryo.
                Indeed, cells in the placenta's structure perform exactly that function. Fine
                gaps between these cells permit the passage of nutrients that the embryo
                needs. But since the mother's defensive T cells cells are larger, they are unable
                to pass through. For us to survive, more systems need to be present than we
                can possibly list here. Each of these flawlessly created details is an act of
                mercy from our Lord, with His superior intellect and knowledge.
