are such developments in the Middle East that baffle us. A communist
state that emerges in line with such a plan would, in an unexpected
way, gain strength and terrorize the world. In such a situation, the
West would not have the luxury to say, "No matter what happens in
the Middle East, let's keep silent", because – may God forbid- the

scourge will be global in nature. It is surely not something that we
would like for such violence to spread to the Middle East or to the
Western world, but within the bounds of current facts, this is the
probable scenario and it is vital to make a necessary warning about
this peril. The objective here is not to present a gloomy picture but to
open minds.
