In Cannabis Oklahoma’s inaugural edition (April 2019), we introduced Denise and Chris Mink - owners of
Med Pharma, located off Hwy 51 in Coweta - who pride themselves on treating patients, clients, and employees
like family. Family is very important to the Minks and is a contributing factor for joining the cannabis industry.
After all, they had witnessed many family members and fellow veterans who successfully used the plant for me-
dicinal purposes and enjoyed a variety of health benefits, as a result.

Denise and Chris decided to open Med Pharm based on science, facts, and the overwhelming understanding
that cannabis can have a positive impact on people’s health and lives. Unlike the majority of cannabis business
owners, however, the Minks did not enter the industry having prior experience with marijuana.

That’s right, you read that correctly. Neither Denise, nor Chris, have ever consumed cannabis. Not smoked,
vaped, eaten, drunk, or any other derivative. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Nothing. Never.

Even though they lacked direct experience, they knew they could help others as a medical marijuana provider in
addition to using Med Pharm as a means to providing “more” for the Tulsa community. Essentially, Denise and
Chris saw that they could use their growing cannabis business to put their personal passions of pet advocacy and
supporting US veterans into action.
Not wasting time, The Minks created a foundation called “Cannabis With A Cause” which redirects 30% of Med
Pharm’s proceeds to build no kill shelters and adoption centers, along with free spay and neuter services. And
because Chris is a veteran, it is also important that they provide special offers and discounts specifically FOR
veterans.

As Denise says “We’re from Coweta, and we’re family. Regardless if you’re a patient, client, or employee - you are
a part of our family.”

Med Pharm OK is a tremendous contributor to the greater Tulsa family, and we’re excited to be a part of it.
