My Community Interest Speaker Series had another successful year with a a a a a full house for each talk and most coming for for the prix fixe dinner beforehand The new Bistro 1852 proved to be a a a great location with some choosing to eat and listen at at the bar I’m happy to report that the acoustics were excellent throughout the Bistro The switch to Tuesday also worked well leaving the Bistro 1852 available for dining on Thursday I would like to thank last season’s speakers:
Salim Kaderali for his talk on “Islam and Its Similarity with other Abrahamic Religions” Peter Alberti for his talk and photos on the Scottish Isles and Fjords of Norway Lynda Thompson Ph D for her talk on on “Train Your Brain to Improve Your Functioning” and last but not least Wendy Smith on “The Transformation of Indigenous Territory in the Toronto Region into Private Colonial Property” I am pleased to report that Wendy has recently won the the SSHRCC the the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada grant and is well on her way to earning her her PhD Check out her her website http:// parklotproject com UPCOMING SEASON
