MARINERS KIDS
VBS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD
This summer, we moved Vacation
Bible School from our congregations
to our homes and the response was overwhelming. 1,100 kids met in safe neighborhood cohorts to hear about the love of Jesus in more than 235 homes, garages, and backyards throughout Orange County. Kids raised $4,377 for our partners in Congo and 20 kids made the life-changing decision to follow Jesus.
PORCH PARTIES
Having a baby is challenging any year, and 2020 only made it harder. In a season where families and friends could not travel as freely to support each other, Mariners Kids came alongside the families in our congregation who gave birth during COVID. The team visited each family for a surprise porch party complete with decorations, gifts, and notes of encouragement for parents.
