Bluewater Health and the Ministry of Health have an agreement to work together on a withdrawal manage- ment centre for Lambton County.
This from Erie St. Clair LHIN CEO Ralph Ganter when he appeared before county councilors July 5. Ganter said he didn’t want to share all the details
because Bluewater Health had done all the hard work on the project, but he said an announcement is likely this week which would move the planning forward. That would include selecting a site for the centre which has been nearly seven years in the planning stages.
“The Ministry of Health is keen to get on top of this,” says Ganter. Some councillors were skeptical.
“If I was a drinking man and wanted to dry up, I’d be underground by now,” said Sarnia’s David Boushy. “How long can we wait?”
Chad Hyatt had four hits and four RBIs to lead the Petrolia Raiders to a 16-6 win over the Bulls in Dresden in Western Counties Senior Baseball League action last Sunday afternoon.
Ryan Walker also had four hits for Petrolia, while Brent Hornblower drew three walks. They both drove in a pair of runs.
Last Saturday at Morrison Field, the Raiders edged Courtright, 4-3 and outscored Dresden, 14-4.
The Raiders are now 7-12-1 on the season.
Meantime, among other WCBL games last week, Grant Mullen had three hits including a homer to power Courtright over Wyoming, 12-7. He also drove in a pair of runs and scored twice. Matt McGrail, Jeremy Park, Corey Saunders and Travis Helps all had two hits apiece in a losing cause for the Cattlebarons who dropped to 13-3 on the season.
