The hockey season came to a disappointing end for Brenden Trottier of Petrolia last Friday night in London when he and his National teammates lost 4-1 to Elmira giving the Sugar Kings the Sutherland Cup championship in ve games.

Senior ball begins Friday
The Wyoming Cattlebarons will begin a new senior baseball season with a pair of home games this weekend.
The Barons will host Wallaceburg on Friday night at 7:30 pm and then welcome Forest on Sunday afternoon at 1 pm. Both games are at Canton Park.
Again this season, the majority of Wyoming’s home games will be played on Friday nights.
Meantime, the Petrolia Raiders open their season on Friday night in Forest at 7:30 pm before returning home to host the Corunna Giants Saturday at 1 pm. in Courtright.
