King; William Robert – On Thursday, October 26, 2017 at C.E.E. Hospital of Bluewater Health in Petrolia, William “Bill” Robert King, passed away. Beloved husband to Joan King (nee Esseltine) for 54 years. Loving father to Carolyn King, Vicki (Patti Dobbin)
King, Don (Karen) King, Virginnia (Carl) Bright. Proud grandpa to Abigail, Emma and Clara Mitchell, Kelsey, Taylor and Greg Bright and will be fondly remembered by Matt and Josh Harper. Loved brother to Ron and Delores King, Anne and Bob Wilkinson, Marg and Craig Smith,
Murray King, Norm and Gwen King, David and Teresa King, the late Marie Kernohan, the late George King, and the late James (Judy) King. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Reba King. Survived by his in-laws, Barbara (Charles) Birdsey, Robert (Elizabeth) Esseltine. Bill was an active member of the Camlachie United Church, a director in the Steam Threshers Association, a past member of the Plympton-Wyoming Fair Board and a past president of the Lambton County Junior Farmers Association. Bill loved his family  rst and the land second; a lifelong farmer whose ties to the community are strong, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitors were received by the family on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Wyoming Chapel, and a funeral service was held on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 11am at the Camlachie United Church. interment was in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ron Gillatly, Glen Steven, Greg Kerrigan, Bob Burnley, Doug Burnley and Melvin Matthews and Flower bearers were Rose and Ivan Stewardson. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to Camlachie United Church Memorial Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society. Emma enjoyed playing Bingo, especially the meat bingo’s of the Petrolia Lions. a memorial service will be held from the needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia on Friday, november 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Visitors will be received on prior to service beginning at 1:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to World Vision Canada (www.worldvision.ca). neWPORT; Connor Jonathon 16 years old, died suddenly at his home in Oil Springs on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Connor was cherished by many and will be very much missed by his parents

Connor is also survived by many teammates and friends from East Lambton Minor Hockey, and Alvinston and Oil Springs Minor Ball. Connor was a student at L.C.C.V.I. in Petrolia and graduated from St. Philips School. Connor had many loves: being outdoors at his family’s cottage, socializing with his friends at lunch hour, ice cream, frosted  akes, and his many family cats, especially his personal favourite, Hector. Visitors were received on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia. a funeral service was held at the Brooke- alvinston-inwood Community Centre, on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 11am. RayneR; Robert, of Petrolia and formerly of Harrow, died peacefully at C.E.E. Hospital of Bluewater Health, Petrolia on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, in his 87th year. Bob is
survived by his wife of 64 years, Gladys (nee Hedges), his children; Harold (Laurie) Rayner, Debra (Harold Haines) Wink, Alan (Laurie) Rayner, Brian (Cindy) Rayner, and Roger Rayner. He will be also be missed by his grandchildren Roberta, Erika, Derek, Jennifer, Roland, Randy Alan, Amy, Michelle, Joel, and Heidi and his thirteen great grandchildren. Bob was the son of the late Leonard and Corrine Rayner, and a brother to the late Douglas (the late Mary)
Rayner, Earl (Katheryn) Rayner, Eleanor (the late Harry) Muttersbach, Stuart (Peggy) Rayner, and Sue (the late Jim) Neuts. He was loved, and will be missed, by many nieces and nephews. Bob was a 34 year employee of Canada Post, retiring in 1985 serving in Essex, Kent, and Lambton Counties. Bob was a Paul Harris Fellow and also a past president of Rotary Club of Petrolia. interment of cremated remains will occur in Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia.
