we go to this one or save up to go to that one? Do we ride, trailer or fly? Well, the truth is - all of the above is correct. The false idea that if you don’t go for a whole week or it won’t be fun - is wrong.

I’m here to say that there are some great rallies around the country that are fun and affordable and that you can pick and choose what days to attend. The great part about living on the east coast is that you can go to the Laconia rally for a few days and still soak in the sun, fun, and... girls. To squeeze in a 3-day trip Laconia trip is easy, especially if you blow off work on Friday. For us living regionally, the simple 3-4 hour ride (at best) puts you in Laconia on Friday before dinner and you have all week- end to have a blast. At that time, all the bars are open (usually with happier, better service, from the help not being worked to death). Every restaurant will be rocking, and the rooms are usually more affordable with a shorter minimum stay. The good times are still there to be had, sometimes better ones! Not waiting 20 minutes for a beer elbow to elbow takes the fun out of stuff. So, grab a group and go do 3 days the first weekend in Laconia, you won’t be sorry. Less hassle, less traffic, and yes less.... well, you know. So, get it, get out early and you’ll be surprised how much fun it can be. #
