It is also the staging area for the start of the annual Peter Makris Memorial Run, Saturday, June 13, the Official Kickoff of Motor- cycle Week, the rally’s favorite fundraiser and ride, bene- fitting the Laconia Fire Department’s Life Saving Fund, Easter Seals NH “Veterans Count” program, the area CERT volunteers and other deserving local charities.

Other events at the NASWA include the Tuesday, June 16 Tattoo Contest, the Wednesday, June 17 Laconia Motorcycle Week 97th Birthday Party with Boats and Bikes by East Coast Flightcraft, and the always popular Thursday, June 18 NAZKINI Miss Laconia Contest with a $2,500 cash prize for the winners. MC Jody Perewitz, the Fastest Women on Wheels and record holder as the first woman to ride a motorcycle over 200 MPH always makes the contest fun for all!
