One of the objectives of the Project is to link existing
capacity building activities to increase the capacity of
municipal staff to identify, source and manage appropriate
cleaner energy and energy efficiency interventions to
reduce GHG impacts and foster service delivery.

African municipal officials involved in municipal energy

The training courses were provided free of charge,
courtesy of the project where the goal of the RECP course
was to equip municipal technical managers and staff to
implement RECP methodologies, and therefore to assist
their municipalities to reduce energy usage and electricity
costs. The Energy Management 101 was to provide
participants with the knowledge and tools to perform
energy calculations and performance measurements in
energy systems.
