Mentees and trainees differ in category and access depending on your industry. Some mentees are attracted to you because of the results you are churning out. Some are attracted to us because of our attitude towards work and so on. Fact is, no one wants to be a mentee to a redundant fellow. I have seen mentees become mentors to their mentors.
