Rhythm/Rhyme: “Hickory Dickory Dock”
• MM performs rhyme:
“Hickory dickory dock,the mouse ran up the clock.
The clock struck one, the mouse ran down,
Hickory dickory dock.”
• S join in
• “Who ran up the clock?” (the mouse)
• “What did the clock do?” (struck one)
• Speak rhyme again while patting the steady beat
• “When we pat the steady pulse it’s called the ?” (steady beat)
• Try alternating different ways of keeping the beat
