Rhythm/Rhyme: “Little Jack Horner”
• MF performs rhyme:
“Little Jack Horner sat in a corner, eating a savory pie.
He put in his thumb and he pulled out a plum
And he said ‘what a good boy am I’!”
• Everyone joins in
• “What was little Jack Horner eating?” (a savory pie)
• A savory pie is a hot meat pie, commonly eaten in England
• Speak rhyme again
• “What did Jack pull out of his savory pie?” (a plum)
• Speak rhyme again patting the steady beat
• Speak rhyme again with the steady beat on shoulders
• Steady beat on head
