                                    Lesson #11 Review

                   •  Practiced patting and walking to the steady beat of “Hot Cross Buns”
                   •  Solo – someone singing or playing music alone
                   •  Sang solo verses to “Who’s That?”
                   •  Practiced making voices go high & low like shooting stars and composed new pitch
                       patterns
                   •  Learned a call & response song from Ghana, Africa called, “Kye Kye Kule”
                   •  Played drums, rhythm sticks & shakers, and identified instruments with eyes closed
                   •  Heard a musical performance on a stringed instrument from the Middle East


               Opening Song: “It’s Music Time”



               Lesson Begins: MM introduces the word, song and instrument of the week


                              Word:  improvise – to make music up on the spot
                              Song: “Mary Wore Her Red Dress”

                              Instrument: rhythm sticks, drum & shakers


               Warm-Up:
                   •  Frankie Dance: rock spine back-forth, side-side, fold at the waist to stretch
                       out back, roll up slow
                          o  Upper Body: figure eights, wave, roll, sprinkler
                          o  Lower Body: hug a tree, high knees, little kicks, heel touches, toe
                              touches, crisscross jumps, Big X
                   •  Rattle Snake with one hand and Hamster Wheel
                   •  Vocal Warm-Up: speak, whisper, shout, sing,
                   •  Calm Body
