Diversity of energy grids
“When in Rome, do as the Romans do!” Unfortunately the energy grids in the world are not as simple as this catchphrase. You have to
consider the specific energy grid in your individual market. But the MEB can be charged in every market in the world regardless of the
energy grid with the same performance. The differences of the power is regulated by the charging station. Same as the individual
energy grids in the markets a diversity of connector types are existing. The market specific connector types are listed as follows.

The MEB products will have a DC charging socket in combination with the AC charging
socket ready as standard. Current Volkswagen PHEV/BEV products are only optional
equipped with DC charging sockets in dependence of the customers choice.
