Cooking for Healing: Heartburn





















       Herbal Heartburn




                                     Relief Tea

              With the holidays approaching, richer foods can cause uncomfortable
           indigestion and other symptoms. Use this light and delicious herbal tea to

                                              ease the pain naturally!


        Ingredients
        3 slices of fresh ginger root, about the               let steep for 5 minutes. After the tea has

        4 tablespoons of chamomile flowers in a

        tea ball, or one chamomile teabag                      Drink the tea 15 minutes before eating a
        1-2 tablespoons honey, raw if possible                 meal. You can also drink it after a meal if
        12 ounces of water                                     you feel indigestion coming on.



        Instructions

        Slice 3 quarter sized pieces of ginger root.


        Simmer in 12 oz of water for 30 minutes.

        Be sure to keep the pot covered.
