School Reports
I take profound privilege in presenting the 2nd Annual Report of AMLED School 2016-17.
Amled School Annual Report articulates and demonstrates the dynamic nature of our
school, our commitment to excellence and our relentless pursuit of achieving Our Best.
Our teachers are reflective and responsive to student needs and there is quality
commitment from our school community.
W We focus on supporting all students to reach their full potential academically, socially and
emotionally. We have committed, proactive teachers and dedicated support staff working
to help each child to reach their potential. School reopened on 2nd April 2016 with an
orientation programme for the Primary and the middle school students. The Kindergarten
Orientation Program was organized on 6th April 2017 and 9th April was the first day of
learning for the little kindergartners. The strength of students in AMLED have shown a
wonderful rise from 299 students in 2015-16 to 636 students in 2016-17. Our staff
strengthtrength in Academics is 60 and Admin & Supporting Staff are 34. We have 16 school
s
buses to take students from various locations.
Achievements:
Mehul Vema Reddy of Grade 7B won the prestigious Sheikh Hamdan Award for the Most
Distinguished Student for the academic year 2016-17. This award is instituted at the UAE
National Level by the Deputy ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and Industry H.H
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum for recognizing outstanding achievers in
academics and co-curricular activities, with special emphasis on social responsibilities.
Refa Umar of Grade 6B and her family (Mother Mrs Seema Umar - Amled faculty) won the
Prestigious Hamdan Award for the Distinguished Family 2016-17. NUHMAN AL JAFRI of
Graderade 5 was selected as a Sastra Prathibha (inter school science talent search contest)

winner of the year 2016-17.
Amled School launched an Inter School Patriotic Song Competition supported by
Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) to engender a greater
sense of patriotism and republicanism in the minds and attitudes of young students.
Dr Shihab M. Ghanem, an Emirati poet, a renowned translator was the Chief Guest
of the event.
Events, Celebrations & Innovations
AMLED School witnessed its Student council shoulder their responsibilities on the 10th of
May 2016. Mr. Radha Krishnan Nair (Principal, Sharjah Indian School) the Guest of
Honour graced the occasion and urged the student leaders of Amled to take their oath of
office with the promise that they would carry out their duties with integrity, faith and
excellence. The Second Annual Sports Day of Amled School saw great fervour and zeal
at the Dubai Police Officers Club on 02nd February 2017.
