Moisture is one of the most frequent causes of coating failure as well as construction defects. Apply- ing paint to a substrate that is too moist will frequently lead to failure of the lm. Most substrates that absorb water have to be below a speci c moisture level percentage before paint can be applied. A moisture meter is an ideal QC tool to determine whether a substrate is ready to be coated.

The 8400K Digital Optical Micrometer lets you measure the vertical depth of surface features, usually to evaluate the severity of mechanical damage such as scratches, corrosion, pits or blemishes dif cult to observe by other methods.
