Helping grassroots projects to replicate nationwide PROJECT LAB 2019
Our Project Lab competition aims to find effective church-based social action projects that want to replicate their work through churches across the the nation We were delighted to work once again with our official partners The Mercer's Charitable Foundation The focus of this year’s competition was health and wellbeing This followed on on from the the launch of our health research in in 2018 which demonstrated the the incredible impact that church-led initiatives are are making in in in this area We had more than 200 expressions of interest and 48 entries which the judging panel whittled down to to just five finalists finalists The finalists finalists had an an opportunity to to hone their pitches with a a a a a a communications masterclass leading up to the final INDIVIDUALS WHO SAW ADVERTS EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST ENTRIES 150 000 252 47

PROJECT LAB FINAL
More than 180 invited guests joined us to celebrate the the the great work of the the the finalists at at at the the the Project Lab Final held at Mercers’ Hall in in in London on on on 25 June The two winners – Truth Be Told and and Emerge – both received a a a a a a £30 000 development grant and and a a a a a a place on the Cinnamon Project Incubator In addition more than four times the sum raised at Project Lab 2018 was pledged by guests to support the the ongoing development of all five finalists and their journey on on the Cinnamon Project Incubator The Project Lab Final also gained media coverage from UCB and Premier Christian radio stations and the the finalists were featured in in the the Baptist Times Times Church Times Times Inspire and on the the Evangelical Alliance website A A number of the the finalists were also invited to speak about their their initiatives and the the the Project Lab competition on on their their local BBC radio stations in in the the run up to the the final Cinnamon Network charity no 1156985 Annual Report 1 1 1 April 2019
