This Module works in conjunction with all EMT textbooks following evidence based National Standards, and provides increased detail in basic anatomy and body sys- tems. More specific and focused information on pathophysiology and body function- ing will be incorporated in EMS topic educational sessions. This Module does not eliminate the value of taking a college level anatomy and physiology course. The educational focus here is to provide a basic understanding in human body function- ing to improve understanding in emergency medical services assessment and treat- ments strategies.

EMS providers may use resources such as the internet searches, Youtube, Khan Academy video lessons and other A&P Textbook(s).
