A few words from the manager...
BROADWELL AMATEURS 0 - 2 FILTON ATHLETIC (15th March 2025)
“Another tough away game for the lads last weekend against a lively Broadwell
Amateurs side. A long way from our best performance which was to be
expected with so many players missing through injury, suspension, and some
of the lads struggling from the aftermath of the Cheltenham Gold Cup - both
physically and financially!
However, we got the job done in the first 25 minutes with two good footballing
goals. The first was after great movement from Coops who was asked to play
in a deeper role, and he took his finish well. The second goal was a
thunderbolt from Tom Fry following good work by Said on the left wing.
The lads defended really well as a unit and never looked like conceding,
keeping Broadwell to just one shot on target which Ryan dealt with well. That’s
about all there is to report from last weekend. Another 3 points on the road
and a great day out on the fun bus.
I expect a much better performance this weekend back at home. We are up
against a side we know very little about who I’m sure under new management
will be looking to put some results together to move up the table.”
