Welcome to the Lancer Scott Stadum
Good afternoon and welcome to the
Lancer Scott for this afternoon‘s visit of
Bitton AFC. I hope their supporter’s
officials and players enjoy their day with
us in what is one of the shorter journeys
this season and our 1 home derby of
st
the season. Our visitors are currently 2 nd
in the table and make no secret of their
ambitions for promotion to the Southern
league this season. This week they
announced that Coaches Kye Mountford
and Lee Rendall had left the club, both
are well known to us, particularly Rens,
who spent many seasons playing for us
and was reserve manager before moving onto Odd Down where they
won the Premier League title. Don’t be surprised if he is in the bar
after the game.
The two sides have met already this season when we made the visit
to BS30 for an evening game in early September. Bitton ran out 4-2
winners but not before 2 excellent second half goals from Jason
Radnedge gave the hosts something to think about. It was a very
entertaining game, one of our best league performances this season
and showed what ability there is in our squad when they concentrate
for 90 minutes.
A word for Nick’s reserve team they are top of Somerset county
league Div.2 , they setting themselves for potentially a great season.
They host Cutters for the next game here at the Lancer Scott
stadium, 2.30 KO, 27 November. Please come along to give them
th
your support, Im sure you will be entertained.
Thank you for your support today, enjoy the game and please respect
the officials.
