Reserves away to Rockleaze A
Top 2 head-to-head we have a game in hand and this was a massive 6 pointer
game, all week had sickness in squad and unavailable players, I'd like to thank Rhys
and Scouse who were working and found a way to get to the match and in squad
today
The pitch had many lines for different sports and was a little confusing for
everybody.
We had a couple of chances but the opening exchanges were end to end game
nothing between the teams, it was a bit disruptive with may minor free kicks
Maddix , Ben ,Dillan Rhys and James all putting shifts in, and we looked solid with
Marcel Reider Charlie and Riley and Tom the keeper.
On 35 mins the took a quick free kick which could have been brought back as it
appeared the ref and us were not ready however it was allowed and the offside
was missed by our linesman allowing them to score a goal out of nothing
We had a few chances to score but again not ruthless and went in 1 down at half
time
The second half we had the wind behind us and felt we were in control without
finding the net we had corner after corner with no killer finish, ,there keeper saved
about 3 efforts which normally go in but he was in good form
The sucker punch with mins remaining we all went for a corner including Tom the
keeper to try and secure a draw but after a goal line clearance one of there player
raced the length of the pitch to make it 2 nil
I t was a clos game but once again we are disappointed not to get anything out of
the game with the chances missed
The ‘A’ Team continues its good run of form with a 3-2 win over Easton Cowboys
‘A’.
‘A’ Team
The ‘A’s took the lead with a brilliant through ball from Ashley West to set top
goalscorer Cameron off through the middle and, as always, he put the ball into the
net.
The ‘A’s pushed for another with Lewis Carr hitting the bar five minutes later. Lewis
continued the press the defence and was rewarded with his goal shortly
afterwards.
The ‘A’s dropped off after 20 minutes and allowed Easton to get back into the
game. They went in at half time at 2-1 with a fluke of an own goal with Aaron Amos
trying to clear and the ball bouncing off Ashley West for an own goal.
The second half the ‘A’s were asleep and allowed Easton to bring the game level/
After this the game could have gone either way but the ‘A’s did find a winner with
a sublime free kick from Ashley West to give the ‘A’ team the three points.
