FILTON ATHLETIC 2 - 1 SHARPNESS (21st December 2024)

“Another great performance from the lads on Saturday against a very well
organised and dangerous Sharpness.

It was a very scrappy first half from both sides which was to be expected in the
weather conditions, which could be best described as poor.

Neither side was able to create much creating much however we were
unfortunate not to go in 1-0 up after missing a penalty late in the first half.

The second half was much better from the boys who played with the wind and
two great finishes from Fraser Venables put us 2-0 up. We were pretty

comfortable after that and it was disappointing to concede from a free kick in
the last kick of the game.

We’ve had a great start to this tough winter period and this Saturday will be no
different. We are expecting a good game again this Saturday with both teams
in form.”
