A few words from the manager...

FILTON ATHLETIC 1 - 4 RUARDEAN HILL RANGERS (26th October 2024)

“Madness at the ‘mead’ on a day to forget for us! We were nowhere near at our

best all over the park on the day and got exactly what we deserved.
Ruardean set up well and it was clear they intended to hit us on the counter.

They took a risk by leaving 3 men high up the pitch but it definitely paid off.
After a dubious penalty was given their way late in the first half, we kindly

gifted them two more goals after two big mistakes at the back.
But we were just as clumsy at the other end of the pitch, not taking our

chances when they did fall to us, then forcing the play and not being creative
enough with it against a side who were comfortable to sit back ready to hit us
on the counter.

All credit to our opponents, they were very well organised and absolutely
clinical in front of goal. The better team won on the day and we have to go
again this week to try and build some consistent form, which so far has been

lacking from us this season.”
