Avonmouth FC developing young players

Moving onto the 1960’s, several Avonmouth youth teams won many titles
including the Church of England Under 17 League in 1966/67. The following
season several players went into the first team and this coincided with the
ground being taken by the Ministry of Transport for the M5 Avon bridge and
the onset of tough times for the club with Barracks Lane being offered in
recompense.
