Good afternoon all. A warm welcome to the
players , officials and supporters from Buckland
Athletic, I hope they enjoyed a trouble free
journey here today from Newton Abbot. Can I
also welcome todays match officials, referee
Adam Wilson and assistants Andy Davey &
Bobby Tutton.
Buckland are flying high and if this afternoon’s
game is as entertaining as the when the two
sides met earlier in the season at Homers
Heath, when the sides shared the points in a
closely fought 2-2 draw, you are in for a treat!
Talking of treats , our game here last Saturday
with neighbours Cadbury Heath certainly
fell into that category and it was great to come
away with the points in a high scoring game
brimming with quality goals. It was also great
to see so many of you here enjoying it.
I would like to take this opportunity to give a personal thank you to our fantastic
physio Rich Williams. As some of you will know Rich had a very eventful Saturday
and went more than the extra mile when abandoning the dugout to give medical
assistance to two members of the crowd who really needed assistance. Thanks also
to Rachel , who I think also missed most of the game supporting Rich running
around organising things. It really emphasised to me what great people we have
at this Club and it was very pleasing to read about how appreciative our visitors
were.
We are back on the road next week to Bridport and again the following week to
Liskeard in the FA Vase. We will be running a coach to the latter so if you fancy a
nice trip to Cornwall to cheer the lads on, catch up with me or any of the other
committee members and we will see what we can do to get you on board.
I hope that you enjoy the game and thank you for coming.
