Reserves v Broad Plain Res

Several changes today saw Cory Clark return alongside Dillan
Kerr Ben Walters and Liam Poole.

It started off very even with Broad Plain Res having a few efforts
just off target but we survived the storm.

We were not quite ourselves in front of goal this week and
trying to either hit a Worldie or run it into the goal.

Dillan Kerr got an elbow to the nose in the 18 yard box but the
ref didn't see it and waved play on, we had a few decent
chances but couldn't quite get anything in the net after 38
minutes Rhys hit a 30 yard effort which took some sort of
deflection off their defender and their keeper helped it into the
net giving us the lead.

On 42 minutes broad plain crossed into the 18-yard box we tried
3 times to clear it but it sat up nicely for their player to tuck it
past our keeper Tom.

1-1 at half time with the wind behind us but we still could not
take our chances, Liam Poole made the keeper keep 2 efforts
out and Dillan James and Covy all having decent efforts on goal
and then came the sucker punch pushing for a winner they had
a 3 on 2 opportunity and they took it with 12 minutes to go.

There was time for several other opportunities but we couldn’t
take them and unfortunately losing 2-1.
